As an investigator with 35 years of experience in federal and state law enforcement to his credit, Dick DeRoche presently holds a top-secret security clearance with the federal government. After serving 23 years with the Massachusetts State Police, DeRoche joined the U.S. Coast Guard as Assistant Special Agent in Charge in Miami, FL. He was subsequently promoted to Special Agent in Charge of the Coast Guard Investigative Service for the Northeast Region in Boston, MA. During the course of his long and distinguished career, he has conducted and supervised numerous maritime-related investigations, and has overseen Coast Guard assets involved with shore-side protective service operations in support of the U.S. Secret Service.
DeRoche earned a Master's degree in criminal justice from Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA, and a B.S. degree from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI. A graduate of the Massachusetts State Police Academy, he has also attended courses at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Brunswick, GA, and the U.S. State Department Diplomatic Security Service in Washington, DC. He is currently the president of R. P. DeRoche & Associates, a private investigation and personal security business.
