Currently employed as a Grants Specialist and Criminal Justice Planner for the County of Erie, which serves a metropolitan population of 1 million residents including the City Of Buffalo and its surrounding suburbs. Ms. Wilk has over 10 years of experience in the government sector with a major portion of that time devoted to grant procurement and administration. In her current position, she is responsible for the research, coordination and development of grant applications for criminal justice and public safety related funding opportunities. Ms Wilk has experience with a wide range of funding sources and actively administers several grants for Erie County. Many of her grants involve "collaborative" efforts -- some with partners that previously competed with one another for limited funding. This has defined her reputation within the County of Erie. Prior to her current position, Ms. Wilk was a Probation Officer, which provided her with a base of knowledge of the entire Criminal Justice System.
Training includes, Grantmanship Center and several grants writing training courses offered by the Bureau of Justice. She holds a BS in Criminal Justice from the State University College at Buffalo where she is currently pursuing a MS in criminal justice. Ms. Wilk completed the National Institute for Corrections Management Training Program and is trained in the use of firearms
