Mr. Sheckler is an experienced and successful developer of full spectrum multi-service and inter-agency operational plans and policy with proven ability to implement and improve programs through broad-based competencies in: All Source Intelligence Collection Planning, Management, Analysis, Analysis determining vulnerabilities of industrial infrastructures and social institutions, Decision Making Process/Analytical Problem Solving, Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning, Training and Exercise Development/Systems Approach to Training (SAT), Special Operations, unconventional warfare (UW), counter-insurgency (COIN), counter-terrorism (CT), Civil Military Operations (CMO), PSYOPS, Evasion and Recovery (E&R).
Mr. Scheckler has developed methodology for conducting infrastructure vulnerability assessments and mitigation planning to counter threats to US rear area operations during a Major Theater War (MTW). He adapted the process for US domestic emergency management in 1999 and since 9/11 has been a presenter at conferences addressing Homeland Security. He developed procedures and GIS software tools to enable municipal and commercial entities to create a common operating picture supporting situational understanding and collaborative planning for consequence management in an unclassified environment.
Ron Sheckler's professional career highlights are numerous. As Special Assistant to the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, his duties included planning, development, implementation, evaluation and management of a comprehensive, SFPUC wide, security and emergency preparedness program. During his tenure as CEO of Integral GIS Inc., he facilitated corporate restructuring, and development and implementation of strategic plans, business development and publicity. He performed collateral consultancy work for COMDT USCG for antiterrorism/force protection policy, plans and training. Mr. Sheckler was also extensively involved in US Joint and Combined Special Operations Targeting, Plans, Operations and Training. As a strategist for the US Coast Guard, Maritime Domain Awareness, he developed concepts and plans for USCG force modernization relative to homeland security, and developed and conducted multi-echelon training pertinent to situational analysis, analytical problem solving and decision-making. He served in the US Pacific Command, US Southern Command and US European Command from 1973-2002. His contributions during that time period are too numerous to mention.
Mr. Sheckler received his BS degree from Regents College and has additional military education including Special Forces Senior Course and Military Intelligence Advance Course. He has a tremendous amount of additional training and certifications including Top Secret with SCI access Security Clearance, Counter Intelligence Courses, PSYOP Officer Course and a variety of Special Forces courses, to name just a few.
