William James Hanrahan

Eighteen years as a Patrol Officer with the Orchard Park Police Department, assigned to Fire/Arson Investigations and Hazardous Materials Planning. Appointed Emergency Manager to the Town and Village of Orchard Park to perform emergency response, mitigation planning and to liaison between the Police and Fire District. Twenty Two years as a Volunteer Firefighter presently serve as Chief of the Windom Company and Chief of Training for the Orchard Park Fire District. I have attained certifications and training in NIMS up to the 400 level, New York State certified Hazardous Materials Incident Commander, as well as, multiple National Fire Academy and Federal Emergency Management Institute courses on Emergency Management and Command. I am an Instructor for New York States Office of Fire Prevention and Control, New York State Emergency Management Office, New York State Association on Fire Chiefs and the Erie County Central Police Academy. Lastly I have two Associate degrees, the first in Criminal Justice from Hilbert College in Hamburg New York and the second in Fire Science from Corning Community College in Corning New York.
